Even in the lull of summer, we’re keeping busy. Here are a few things our administrative team is working on.
Membership Renewals
The Netivot Shalom membership year comes to a close on June 30. So it’s time to renew your membership! Membership information is out there–we’ve sent emails, included it in our weekly announcements and put it on the CNS website (here). So far, over 160 households have renewed their membership! Todah rabah and yasher koach! Of course, we have over 350 member households, so to those of you who have not yet renewed …
Security
We received a grant last year from the State of California Office of Emergency Services to improve our safety at CNS. Projects include improving our security cameras and increasing the areas they cover, reinforcing and replacing some of our ground floor windows, improving our alarm and emergency response systems and replacing the fences around the Preschool yard. All of those projects are in the works and should be completed over the summer.
High Holy Days
It may be hard to believe, but Rosh Hashanah is right around the corner! The High Holy Days come early this year, Rosh Hashanah begins on Friday, September 11. We (mainly Mia Rossi, CNS office assistant extraordinaire) have been working on the administrative end of the High Holidays– tickets, registration, Shulcloud forms, packets and everything else involved with preparation for the big events. Thank you Mia!
CNS members will get tickets for their households automatically (another reason for you to renew your membership! Also, a good reason to make sure your Shulcloud profile is up-to-date, so your household gets the correct number of tickets). Extra tickets will be available, as will childcare for all services.
I know this month’s article is a boring nuts and bolts report. If you’ve read this far, well done! But we take these issues seriously: security, the financial well-being of the shul, and making CNS events run as seamlessly as possible. The reason, of course, is to support our community, to keep Netivot Shalom a warm and welcoming place where we all feel safe (both physically and emotionally) in an environment we all can enjoy.
