It can be hard to relate to the many images of Judgement in the High Holy Days machzor. In this session, we’ll study midrashic and Zoharic texts that offer creative understandings of Judgement, Compassion, and the shofar. With these re-imaginings, we’ll approach familiar symbols with fresh eyes that will hopefully inspire us for the days ahead.

Elaina Marshalek, is again serving as our High Holy Day musical director, working together with Rabbi Chai Levy to bring fresh inspiration and musicality to our Yamim Nora’im sanctuary services. In addition to leading some services and heading up our team of daveners, she will facilitate spiritual and musical preparation to empower the whole community to participate more fully. Join Elaina, Rabbi Chai Levy, and your davening team for these Shabbat afternoon sessions and be part of elevating the prayer experience for the whole community.
