In this tumultuous year, what we need is comfort, with our family, our friends, our community. What is more comfortable than a visit to Bubbe and Zayde’s house (besides the plastic furniture covers!)? Whatever you call your grandparents, or wherever you find comfort, we want to celebrate the feelings of warmth and welcoming.
So, for our Spring Fundraiser we’ll focus on Comfort, what makes us feel warm, welcome, relaxed and at home.
Our evening will include food, fun, entertainment, and silent and live auctions (this is a fundraiser, after all!). This year, the auction will focus on comforting experiences: places to go, things to do with family and friends, fun to have. The auction will also include other items: art made by our community members, fine wines, etc.
This will be our BIG Spring Fundraiser, and it is extremely important that we all take part. The CNS budget this year is over $1.6 million. Dues account for less than half of that. The rest comes from fees, grants, and your donations. We simply would not be able to carry on our mission without your continued help.
So far, donations to the General Fund, including the Beyond Dues Campaign and the Yom Kippur Appeal, total just over $200,000. Our fundraising goal this fiscal year (through June 30) is $225,000. That means we still need another $25,000. An Evening at Bubbe and Zayde’s – and your continued generosity – will help us reach that goal.
We look forward to mingling, celebrating, and raising funds with you all on Sunday, April 19! Registration will be coming soon!
