CNS Sanctuary & Social Hall
We are excited to once again co-sponsor this event with our friends from Berkeley Buddhist Monastery, Pacifica Institute, Vedanta Society Berkeley, and The Way Christian Center. Plan now to participate in this mitzvah, either as a donor or a volunteer.
Our tradition interprets Lev 19:16
Do not stand by the blood of your fellow – as a commandment to help when a neighbor’s life is in danger and one is able to assist. If you are able to donate blood, we encourage you to fulfill this mitzvah by signing up for our annual blood drive. While the need for blood is constant throughout the year, donations drop during the summer, when schools are out and folks are on vacation, so blood drives like ours are incredibly important. If you aren’t able to donate yourself, consider reaching out to a friend – every drop counts!
To schedule your donor appointment, go online to redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: CNS. Click here to learn more about the blood donation process and eligibility. Still have questions? Contact Mary Breiner by phoning or texting her at (510) 637-9032.
Our blood drive could not happen without volunteers. You can help with such tasks as setting up the social hall, registering donors, and staffing the snack table. You’ll get to spend time with other ‘giving’ people, plus…snacks! Sign up to VOLUNTEER.
